Opportunities for Policy Innovation Under a New Administration
Presented by: Mason Arts at Home
George Mason University’s Arts Management Program presents a digital conversation with Associate Professor, Dr. Carole Rosenstein, and immediate-past Executive Director of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities (PCAH), Megan Beyer, about working with First Lady Michelle Obama, managing through crisis during the Trump Administration, and advising the Biden transition on the future of federal arts policy.
The PCAH, created under the Reagan Administration in 1982 as an advisory committee to the White House on cultural issues, was abolished by President Trump, opening up a real opportunity for rethinking the role of the executive branch of federal government in our nation’s arts and culture. This conversation, which will be held via Zoom Webinar, will explore what shape cultural policy innovations might take.
This Mason Arts at Home event is presented in coordination with Mason’s Arts Management Program and Arlington Forward.
